Why This Petition Matters

As we mark the International Day of Families on 15 May, we are reminded that strong families are the foundation of our nation. The rising divorce rates threaten this foundation, and the  Dissolution of Marriages Act, 10 of 2024 risks making it worse.

This petition is not merely about law reform—it is about protecting the stability, accountability, and value of marriage.

On 15 May 2026, we will present this petition to Parliament as a unified voice of the people. By signing, you affirm that families matter, that marriage should be preserved with responsibility, and that the law must reflect the values and long-term wellbeing of our society.
